"Harris’ large oil paintings claim the space where they hang, destroying the sense of the room as an ordinary confine.” - The Philadelphia Inquirer

I have always been drawn to two polar opposite approaches to painting: the clarity and directness of hard-edged geometric constructivism, and the power to convey emotion through expressionism. The core of my work explores my relationship to these disparate approaches while visually addressing moments of struggle and joy.
My work has been exhibited in New York City, Guadalajara, Albuquerque, Phoenix, and Philadelphia and featured in the pages of Domino Magazine and Anthology among other art publications. My studio is in the Arizona desert.
